Merry Christmas!

For Christmas I got a football, basketball, a ball pump, a soccer bag, $65, a BYU sweat shirt, 2 soccer shirts one says "Defense to completely shut down your opponents a so they go home and cry to their mama.(that means you Braden Bird, inside joke,)" The other one says " offense sells tickets Defense wins championships, a gift card to game stop, PJ's, Get Smart, and an MP3 player. Thank you! Enough about me how about BYU, TOTAL BUMMER! Lost to Arizona State in B-Ball 76 -75 and in football well I don't want to talk about it. Peace out homies!

Snowy days in Sunny Town

For the past three days it has been snowing! Which is really amazin in St. George! Anyway 8 days till Christmas YIPPEE!

I Won!

Today I had a basketball game and we won!20-22 it was awesome I got 6 pts, 7 reb, and 3 ast. My season totals are 16 pts, 11 rbs, and 10 ast. It was awesome and as always I have my so supportive family to mock me when I get fouled out. I am so happy BYU made it to the Las Vegas Bowl! Peace out!

I'm the champion today I rocked in basketball! Except we still lost but I scored 10 out of teams 30 points, please hold the applause. On Thanksgiving weekend I had a tournament we went 3-1-

so we got second place. That's where my family got the name Riley Bird for me (not a very good nickname). Last but not least drum roll please........................................................................................



Happy birthday to me! So far I've got a Harvey Unga jersey, 2 Under Armors, An Ordinary Boy 3 Book, 2 Real Madrid sweatbands, 1 wristbands, a #7 soccer necklace, Settlers of Catan, a soccer ball, and new basketball shoes. But wait there's more (pretend I said that in a commerical guy type voice) my grandparents gave me 25$ and a NCAA 09. Thank you everyone for the wonderful presents but an extra thanks to my Grandma Sue and Grandpa Wayne for driving clear up to Cedar City to get NCAA 09!

Update

So far since I stopped I've Had 2 soccer games, first one tied 0-0 second one was a whole different story I won correction I kicked but! BYU has had 2 games also first one blowout 41-12! second one they won but not a kick butt win just 38-24. Next Saturday is the big Y vs. U game!

I forgot to tell you peoples but last week I had a football game and lost. But today is different we won 50-26 (notice I know the score) I scored 3TD passes and 1TD reception. Also BYU won practically on a final play 42-35.

A couple days ago I had a football game. It was awesome I won about 35(or something like that)-0 I scored 2 TD passes 1 TD run. I have nothing else to say so goodbye!

I won again!

Yesterday I had a football game and my team kicked butt some 70 or 80 to 6! It was awesome! I scored one TD pass one TD run and one TD reception! Also my dad is the coach he rocked!

Today I dominated the final score was 6-2 or 7-2 I forgot! Also BYU kicked trash 44-0! I think BYU has a good chance of making it to a BCS bowl this year. Go BYU!

Good news and bad news.......

I lost my soccer game but BYU won against UCLA 59-0 all I have to say is blowout! I don't think this is the team that BYU lost 17-27 and won 16-17 last year that's nuts! Oh yeah and this week my grandparents got me Kelly Smiths autograph! ( BYU RB in 1984)

BYU and my team won!

Ok my team whipped butt 6-1 and BYU won 28-27 it was amazing! My soccer game was in the middle of the BYU game so my grandparent's recorded it for us but it went to live tv some how so my friend and I new the score but not who won so once BYU got 28 I new they won at the end it was a horrible call (even though it helped BYU) Intense game!

BYU is playing Washington tonight and my Uncle Aunt and there kids tickets to that (by the way they live in Seattle and they're still BYU fans!). Today is my first game of the season (the last one was preseason)and we are playing the wost team of last season and we went 8-0-0 last season.Wish me and my team luck!

They won 41-17! Finally on my blog I can talk about the BYU games bad news is that I had to leave at halftime for a B-Day party but I still had a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any way back to BYU I don't know how much Harvey Unga scored but at half he had 3 TD!

Sure my team lost but there was a surprise after the game they were giving out awards at the end and I was awarded for the best defender in the league!(for those who don't know i'm a defender on my team) I hope BYU wins tonight!

I got a fever today so I had to miss soccer practice and scouts bummer huh.
But thats's not all my family and I would get sick every couple weeks so my mom got tired of it so she made me be our family's test dummy so I got my blood drawn!

LAS VEGAS (July 22, 2008) -- Five former Cougars were recognized on Tuesday after being named to the Mountain West Conference 10th Anniversary Football Team. The BYU athletes recognized were running back Luke Staley, tight end Jonny Harline, defensive lineman Brady Poppinga, linebacker Rob Morris and punter Matt Payne. In 2001, Doak Walker Award winner and All-American Luke Staley led the nation in scoring (15.5 points per game), yards per carry (8.1 yards per carry) and finished the season ranked third in the nation in rushing, averaging 143.8 yards per game. He helped pace the Cougars to a 12-2 record on the season, scoring a BYU single-season record of 28 touchdowns. Staley also racked up a BYU single-season record 1,582 yards rushing on the season. An All-American in 2006, Harline led all BYU receivers in receiving yards (935) and touchdowns (12). Known for his consistency, Harline was on the receiving end of one of the most memorable plays in recent BYU football history--the last-second, game-winning touchdown catch in the Cougars' 2006 victory against Utah!

Cougars Picked to Win MWC by Carey Hoki, BYU Athletic Communications LAS VEGAS (July 21, 2008) -- Defending their second-straight outright Mountain West Conference Championship, the 2008 BYU Cougars were selected to win the conference once again according to the MWC Media Poll released Monday. The Cougars received 29-of-34 first-place votes. "I don't pay too much attention to the rankings," BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said. "While it may provide motivation and an opportunity to ask more of the team, this won't change how we prepare for the season, nor will it change how we prepare for each individual game. If anyone has been paying attention to our program, we've tried to make it clear that our focus has to be on how we work, how we prepare." BYU captured several positions on the 2008 All-MWC Preseason team, including junior quarterback Max Hall, who was named the favorite for 2008 Offensive Player of the Year honors. Joining Hall on the preseason team were wide receiver Austin Collie, offensive linemen Ray Feinga and Dallas Reynolds, tight end Dennis Pitta, running back Harvey Unga and defensive lineman Jan Jorgensen. "Max has high goals," Mendenhall said. "The fact that the other coaches and the media recognize that he can be that type of player is not a surprise to me. Max has a long way to go, in terms of where we are now until the end of the season. He has a good idea of what he wants to accomplish and he has to remain focused on those goals." Coming in second behind the Cougars was Utah with five first-place votes, followed by TCU, New Mexico, Wyoming, Air Force, San Diego State, Colorado State and UNLV. Preparation will begin for the upcoming season when BYU players report to fall camp on Aug. 1. The 2008 season will kick off when the Cougars host Northern Iowa on Aug. 30.

Bike Ride!

My Dad and I went on a bike ride on this mountain where there is all these rocks that you can jump, but the amazing part was the view at one point there was a 2000 foot drop! it was awesome!
